Police Release Sketch of Lottery Fraud Suspects
The Mountain View Police solicits the public's help to identify Spanish-speaking male and female who allegedly stole cash and jewels from victim.

A male and female pair allegedly lied and stole cash and jewelry from an unsuspecting victim in a lottery scam, the police said Thursday.
The suspects approached the victim on April 16 at approximately 11 a.m. outside of the Chase Bank at 749 W. El Camino Real, according to a Mountain View Police Department statement. There the male suspect apparently told the victim in Spanish that he had won the lottery, but couldn't collect his earnings because he was undocumented. At this point, a female approached, and with the male suspect, persuaded the victim to help them.
"Both suspects convinced the victim to drive home and provide money and jewelry as a 'good faith' gesture in return for a share of the lottery winnings," the police statement said. "After the victim provided the suspects with cash and jewelry the suspects fled in their vehicle."
