Reported Groping Of Mountain View Girl Brings Arrest

Police arrested a man earlier this month for allegedly inappropriately touching a young girl in a downtown Mountain View business.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - Police arrested a man earlier this month for allegedly inappropriately touching a young girl in a downtown Mountain View business.

Max Davidson, 29, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, sexual battery and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, among other offenses, police said.

Officers with the Mountain View Police Department responded at 8:49 p.m. on March 1 to Books Inc. at 301 Castro St. on a report that a man was in the store and groping customers, including a 10-year-old girl, police said.

The suspect left the store before officers arrived, but he was quickly located down the block, police said.

Officers learned Davidson was apparently inappropriately touching the 10-year-old girl and women in the store and also allegedly exposed himself to customers there, police said.
