It appears Mountain View drivers are getting some relief at the pumps.
Almost two weeks after gas prices increased to as high as $4.83 a gallon on Friday, Oct. 5, prices have started to fall around the city to as low as $3.99 for unleaded. This decrease reflects the directive that Governor Jerry Brown's gave to start the transition to winter-blend gasoline.

The spike had been attribtued to the August fire at the Chevron Refinery in Richmond that has since caused supply disruptions. Combined with issues at the ExxonMobile refinery in Torrance, California gas prices have soared faster and sharper than any other state in the nation.
