Accused SWR Robber Jailed On $1 Million Bail
Sheriff's officials say the man committed two armed hold-ups, one right after another, in Temecula and Menifee.

MENIFEE, CA — A Temecula man accused of committing two armed robberies in Southwest Riverside County on the same day was jailed Wednesday in lieu of $1 million bail. Joshua Phillips, 21, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the alleged crimes, both of which happened Monday, according to police and jail records.
The first robbery happened around 12:12 a.m. Monday in the 31900 block of Rancho California Road in Temecula, according to sheriff's Sgt. Russell Hilton. That's near the intersection of Butterfield Stage Road. The thief escaped before police arrived.
"A short time later, a suspect matching the same description committed another armed robbery in the city of Menifee," Hilton said in a news release.
