CHP Releases Details On Fatal Crash That Shut Down I-215 In Menifee
Northbound freeway traffic was shut down for more than three hours Thursday night.
MENIFEE, CA — A Menifee woman who was stopped in traffic on Interstate 215 Thursday night died after a pickup truck driver apparently didn't see her red brake lights in time and rear-ended her sedan, pushing the car under a tractor-trailer.
Paz Lim, 62, of Menifee died at the scene shortly after 10 p.m. on northbound I-215 at Scott Road, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
According to a CHP report, Lim was stopped in traffic when a Dodge Ram plowed into the back of her Toyota Camry "at a high rate of speed." The crash impact sent the Toyota under the Freightliner tractor/trailer combination, killing Lim.

The Dodge also sideswiped another vehicle, a Nissan Quest, according to the CHP.
The Dodge driver suffered minor injuries, the CHP said. No other injuries were reported. No arrests were announced.

All northbound freeway traffic was shut down for more than three hours due to the crash investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP. Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the CHP Temecula office at 951-506-2000.
