3 Arrested After Vehicle Plows Through Murrieta High School Fence
Three were arrested after a vehicle pursuit that triggered a high school lockdown in Murrieta and damaged several parked cars.
MURRIETA, CA — A police chase that ended near Vista Murrieta High School on Thursday prompted a brief lockdown after a vehicle plowed through the campus fence, according to the Menifee Police Department.
Three people were arrested as a result, including Sebastian Obrero, 24, Cristian Ardila, 23 and a 16-year-old, whose identity was not released, Lt. Denise Keith told Patch.
The incident was first reported around 10:49 a.m., Keith said. Police requested a lockdown of the campus at approximately 11:08 a.m. as a precaution, she said, adding that the exact duration of the lockdown was not immediately available.

The three suspects reportedly drove through the school’s perimeter chain link fence and collided with three parked vehicles, damaging all of them, Keith said. No injuries were reported during the crash.
Murrieta police, who responded to assist Menifee police, said the suspects attempted to flee the vehicle on foot near Clinton Keith Road, in the area of the high school. All three were taken into custody shortly after.

The 16-year-old is being accused of felony evading, displaying a fraudulent vehicle registration, criminal conspiracy, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, possession of stolen property, and hit and run, Keith said.
Obrero and Ardila were arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy, using a fraudulent license plate, recklessly evading law enforcement and resisting or obstructing a peace officer, according to Keith.
