Murrieta Giveaway For Firefighters Who Battled Palisades, Eaton Fires

Firefighters have until Friday to enter to win 100 relaxation packages including passes to the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort and a local stay.

MURRIETA, CA — Explore Murrieta is gifting 100 "Relax It's Murrieta" packages to eligible first responders who fought the recent Palisades and Eaton fires.

To be considered, all area firefighters have until Friday, Feb. 28, to enter exploremurrieta.com. First Responders Appreciation Packages include complimentary stays and experiences to help them rest and recharge.

Each package includes two one-day passes at the newly opened Murrieta Hot Spring Resort and two nights of room accommodations at an Explore Murrieta Member Hotel.

Patrick Ellis, CEO of Explore Murrieta, shared what the power of community means in Murrieta.

“In Murrieta, we believe in the importance of showing gratitude to those who give so much of themselves,” Ellis said. “This is our way of saying thank you and ensuring you know how much your efforts mean to us all. We hope this small gesture conveys our deep appreciation for your heroism and dedication.”

John Wang, Managing Director of Comfort Inn & Suites Murrieta and Chairman of the Explore Murrieta Board, conveyed on behalf of the local hotel community.

“While our community was not directly affected by the recent fires, we appreciate those who were on the front lines," Wang said. "It is our honor to participate in this initiative and provide a well-earned opportunity for these heroes to rest, recharge, and experience the warm hospitality Murrieta has to offer."

The package is open to all first responders directly involved in the recent fire incidents, including but not limited to:

  • Firefighters (career and volunteer)
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics
  • Police Officers and Sheriff's Deputies
  • 911 Dispatchers
  • Search and Rescue personnel

Murrieta Fire Chief Bernard ‘Bernie’ Molloy added his gratitude for the opportunity.

“Responding to wildfires takes a physical and mental toll, and the road to recovery doesn’t end when the flames are out,” Molloy said. “We want to thank Explore Murrieta for reminding us that our dedication and efforts as first responders are truly valued and appreciated. I strongly encourage my fellow first responders to take advantage of this opportunity to breathe, recharge, and feel the gratitude of a wonderful, welcoming community.”

Selected recipients will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. All packages must be redeemed by May 22.
