Murrieta Parents, School Staff, Asked To Shape Future Of MVUSD Schools At Town Hall Sessions
Over 3 Town Hall sessions, MVUSD will "ensure our facilities continue to support the exceptional learning experiences our students deserve."

MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Valley Unified School District invites parents, students, staff, and community members to participate in a series of Facilities Master Plan Town Halls to help shape the future of Murrieta Valley USD schools.
The District, in a recent news release, says it has engaged the DLR Group, a leading educational planning firm, to develop a long-term Facilities Master Plan (FMP). The FMP is a long-term strategic framework to guide the physical growth and transformation of MVUSD schools.
The Facilities Master Plan process is already underway, encompassing comprehensive data collection, site assessments, and input from school sites. Upcoming projects will be identified, and additional recommendations from the upcoming town halls will be included in the final plan.

The FMP will offer a fresh look at school facilities and infrastructure needs, with a focus on:
- Strengthening the academic and student experience
- Implementing safety and security improvements
- Enhancing career, technical, and educational (CTE) spaces
- Developing amenities that support both students and the broader community
Dr. Ward Andrus, Superintendent of MVUSD, spoke on the reasoning behind the new plan.

“Our schools are the heart of our community, and they are used every day from dusk to dawn by our students, local churches, local youth football organizations, non-profits and so many more!” Andrus said. “We want this plan to reflect the voices of our families, staff, and community partners. Together, we can ensure our facilities continue to support the exceptional learning experiences our students deserve.”
Community participation is vital to this process.
The district invites all residents of the City of Murrieta to attend one of the Town Hall meetings. Each meeting is specifically tailored to a regional area where our comprehensive high schools are located, providing multiple opportunities for community members throughout Murrieta to attend.
