Suicide Prevention Film By Murrieta Resident Wins State Award
AJ Dela Cruz won he Directing Change Award from the Direct Change Program and Student Film Contest for his film titled 'Timeless.'

From Mt. San Jacinto College: Mt. San Jacinto College student AJ Dela Cruz, Murrieta, received third place this month for a suicide prevention film. Dela Cruz won the Directing Change Award from the statewide Directing Change Program and Student Film Contest for the film titled “Timeless.” The student received support for the project from Matt Leyden, MSJC’s Career and Technical Education Counselor.
The awards program, held May 4, 2017 at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, is organized by Each Mind Matters, California’s Mental Health Movement. The mission of the awards program is to promote suicide awareness and prevention. “Timeless,” filmed and produced by Dela Cruz, won in the Youth and Young Adult Suicide Prevention category.
