'They Have Nothing Left' Fundraiser Launched For Mother After Daughters, Pets Die In Murrieta House Fire

Friends and loved ones are seeking assistance for a Murrieta family who lost everything in a weekend mobile home fire. Heres' how to help.

MURRIETA, CA — Two young girls and numerous pets were killed in a mobile home fire this weekend that left a mother and father both in a Murrieta Intensive Care Unit, a family friend shared in a fundraiser for the family.

The fire was reported around 4:40 a.m. Saturday in the 41000 block of Knight Drive, where crews found a mobile home, a carport, three vehicles, two outbuildings, and a large pine tree fully engulfed in flames, the Murrieta Fire Department reported.

"Firefighters immediately entered emergency rescue mode, initiating an aggressive fire attack while simultaneously searching the structure for trapped residents," department spokesperson Dawn Morrison shared.

When the fire compromised the home's structural integrity, firefighters were forced into a defensive firefighting operation. It took about 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Three other people were rushed to a hospital.

Andrea Raikoglo, a family friend, created a GoFundMe page identifying the victims' parents as Stacey Hale and Adam Keenan. According to that fundraiser, the girls' mother remains hospitalized after the fire and has lost her eyesight.

A third child survived the fire and is now living with her uncle, according to the post. The uncle, identified as Scott Nadler, would receive the funds because he would be caring for them "until she gets back on her feet."

All funds raised will be ultimately distributed to "Stacy Hale and the funeral costs for the children, and getting into a home and necessities," Raikoglo said.

Keenan, the girl's father, was also affected by the fire and is on ventilation after suffering smoke inhalation, the fundraiser states. Thus far, over $47,000 has been raised in support of the family's devastating loss.

The cause of the fire was being investigated by the Murrieta fire and police departments.
