Grinch, Santa Deliver Gifts To Over 100 RivCo Elementary Students
Students on the nice saw Santa and the Grinch & brought home thanks to the Perris Police Department and the Val Verde USD.

PERRIS, CA — On Monday, over 100 elementary school students in the Val Verde Unified School District received Christmas gifts, enjoyed holiday treats, took pictures with Santa Claus, and laughed with the Grinch in Perris, during an annual event organized by the district's police department.
The eighth annual Val Verde District Police Department "Grinchmas Party" was slated for the morning of Dec. 22 at the school district's administration building.

"This festive holiday event is dedicated to spreading joy and holiday cheer to students in our community," according to an agency statement. "During the event, more than 100 students will receive special holiday gifts."

Police Chief Mark Clark said that among the items distributed were PlayStation 5 consoles, Nintendo Switch systems and electric scooters.
"In addition to the gift giveaway, attendees will enjoy warm holiday treats, including hot cocoa, coffee, cookies and popcorn, while celebrating with the Grinch, creating a memorable and joyful holiday experience for our students," Clark said.

The event is made possible every Christmas Season thanks to donations from police personnel, community groups and residents.
The school district spans the north end of Perris, south end of Moreno Valley and a portion of unincorporated Riverside County, with a total enrollment of roughly 20,000.
