1 Killed, 2 Injured In Napa Head-On Collision, Police Say
The fatal head-on collision involved a red Chevy Camaro and a black Infiniti, a Napa police sergeant said.
NAPA, CA — A man who died in what authorities described as a head-on collision Sunday night in Napa was identified as Kevin Brandon Patland, 23, of Rohnert Park, according to the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Office. Two others were injured in the crash that happened on Browns Valley Road about mile and a half west of state Highway 29.
The fatal crash occurred just before 7:50 p.m. Sunday on Browns Valley Road between Austin Way and Larkin Way, Napa police Sgt. Ryan Cole said.
Patland was the driver of a red Chevy Camaro and appeared to have been making a left turn onto eastbound Browns Valley Road when he collided head-on with a black Infiniti headed west on Browns Valley, Cole said.

Patland, who was alone in the Camaro, was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, as were the driver and passenger in the Infiniti.
Patland later died there, authorities said, while the other two people were being treated for injuries Sunday night.

As of 9:15 p.m. Sunday, investigators were still at the accident scene. Browns Valley Road was closed in both directions between Austin and Larkin as the crash was investigated.
