From California-French cuisine to "down-home" country farmhouses — seven restaurants are recognized, and some have multiple stars.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — Seven restaurants in Napa County with must-see atmospheres and menus offering plenty of mouth-watering meals to try have made it into the famed Michelin Guide.
Restaurants were given varying distinctions: 1 star for high-quality cooking, 3 stars for exceptional cuisine and a Bib Gourmand for good, budget-friendly cooking. Others included in the guide are listed for "good cooking."
Napa County eateries were named in St. Helena, Rutherford, Calistoga and Yountville.

Glen Ellen Star - 13648 Arnold Dr., Calistoga

This restaurant, located inside a cozy cottage, is known for its country charm. The menu skews mostly California fusion Italian and Chef Ari Weiswasser also serves a unique take on daily pizzas like the tomato-cream pie with Turkish chilies, according to the guide. Glen Ellen Star was recognized by Bib Gourmand.

Solbar - 755 Silverado Trail, Calistoga
This wine country staple is nestled within the Solage Calistoga resort and spa. Michelin Guide describes the eatery as "breezy, sunny and serene." Solbar's menu boasts farm-fresh ingredients and is especially known for dishes like its pan-roasted diver scallops served in a Pacific Coast manila clam broth.

Auro - 400 Silverado Trail, Calistoga
Tucked into the Four Seasons resort, Auro's menu offers a California spin on contemporary French cuisine. Most ingredients are locally sourced, with some coming from its on-site gardens. Menu items mentioned by the guide include a crudo of dry-aged kampachi with golden kiwi aguachile and a sunchoke velouté with jamon de Bellota and Périgord truffle. Auro has one Michelin Star.

Farmstead sticks true to its namesake and is described in the guide as a "down-home" version of wine country chic. Often playing country music beneath cathedral ceilings, the eatery offers hearty plates like the wood-grilled heritage pork chop with jalapeno grits, broccolini, fig and an apple mostarda.

Press, which holds one Michelin Star, holds the largest collective of Napa wines in the world, according to the guide. Upon walking in, guests may be immediately enchanted by a massive ceramic clock that came from an old train station. On the menu, the guide mentions Kusshi oysters with whipped horseradish, citrus-cured snapper with yuzu curd and white truffle risotto.

Auberge du Soleil - 180 Rutherford Rd.
This Rutherford outdoor dining eatery and resort is inspired by the south of France. It opened in 1981, becoming Napa Valley's first fine-dining experience. Decorated with one Michelin Star, the restaurant is known for its chef's tasting menu, which allows guests to choose how their dining experience goes. The guide recommends ending your meal with a lemon gelée and fig leaf gelato.
Mustards Grill - 7399 St. Helena Hwy, Yountville
Like many other Napa Valley restaurants, Mustards Grill has on-site gardens that yield ingredients that routinely appear on its menu. The guide called this eatery an "iconic roadhouse" where you can get freshly plucked vegetables from blooming garden boxes. Notable plates mentioned by the guide are the halibut — when it's offered. It is served with an oxtail reduction and plated with silken leeks and fingerling potatoes.
