A Vallejo man was found with the pills, some cocaine, and merchandise he admitted stealing from Walmart, police said.

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — A Vallejo man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and drug possession Monday in American Canyon when officers responded to a theft reported at Walmart, police said.
Around 11 p.m. Monday, a Walmart loss prevention employee called the American Canyon Police Department about a man who'd just stolen some merchandise from the store. The employee provided a description of the suspect, his car and a license plate number.
Officers found the man, later identified as 51-year-old Vallejo resident Steven Nelson, parked in a nearby shopping complex. A hoverboard was found inside his car, which Nelson admitted to stealing from Walmart, police said.
