CHP Responds To Fatal Rollover Crash On Hwy 128 In Napa County

A Lake County man died in the solo-vehicle crash east of Wragg Canyon Road, the CHP said.

NAPA COUNTY, CA β€” A driver was killed in a rollover crash Friday on state Highway 128 in Napa County, the California Highway Patrol said.

At 1:50 p.m. Friday, the driver of a 2003 Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on SR-128, east of Wragg Canyon Road, when he crossed the double-yellow lines and left the roadway, CHP Officer Jaret Paulson said.

The SUV overturned down a steep embankment.

The driver, a 51-year-old Lower Lake man, was declared dead at the scene, Paulson said.

The roadway was wet from rain when the crash occurred. The man was alone in the car and there were no other vehicles involved.

Further information about the man's identity was pending the notification of his family members by the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Office.

CHP was continuing its investigation of the crash.
