Car Found Submerged In North Bay Lake
A tow truck crew removed what appeared to be a silver SUV from the murky waters of the lake.
NAPA COUNTY, CA—Emergency personnel responded Wednesday to Lake Hennessey, where a vehicle was submerged in water. However, no occupants of the car were found in or around the lake.
The California Highway Patrol received a report there was a car underwater around 1 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, it was spotted near the boat ramp off state Highway 128/ Sage Canyon Road in Rutherford.
Sage Canyon Road was closed between Silverado Trail and Chiles Pope Valley Road as personnel with the CHP, Napa County Sheriff's Office, AMR Ambulance and Cal Fire/Napa County Fire Department responded.

"Due to the nature of the incident, our Water Rescue Team was activated," Cal Fire said in a social media post. "The team made access to the vehicle which was found to be unoccupied."

The team searched the water but did not find anyone.

At 4:45 p.m., Napa County officials announced Sage Canyone Road was reopened.
