The Kelly family has launched Connolly Ranch’s new Legacy Fund with a $25,000 pledge to be paid in five annual installments.
Gene Kelly, and his father, Harold Kelly, presented the first installment check to executive director Jennifer Fotherby at a kick-off luncheon for the fund.
Chairman of the Connolly Ranch board of directors, Gene Kelly is the founder and president of Accelerated Technical Training Institute. His father, Harold Kelly, was a founding board member of the Land Trust of Napa County whose constant advocacy and creative vision helped establish Connolly Ranch in 1991.
The Kelly family gift is the inaugural donation to the Connolly Ranch Legacy Fund, a group of community leaders who are committed to ensuring that Connolly Ranch has a reliable source of funding in the coming years.
The Legacy Fund will support Connolly Ranch’s current educational programs, facility improvements, program development, and the establishment of an endowment fund.
Connolly Ranch’s mission is to connect kids and families with nature through farm-based education.
The nonprofit educational facility helps over 6,000 children each year learn about the environment while experiencing a real working farm within the city limits of Napa.
