Napa County Buys Dey Labs Campus for HHS Programs

Following Board of Supervisors approval and a comprehensive due diligence process, Napa County staff on Thursday closed the purchase of the 25-acre Dey Labs site from Mylan, Inc. The campus, in the Napa Valley Commons corporate park, will become the new home of the County’s Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), which currently manages programs at several locations in Napa, including the main campus on Old Sonoma Road

The Mylan campus, on Napa Valley Corporate Drive, includes about 350,000 square feet of office, warehouse, and research and development space. HHSA will occupy about 150,000 square feet once the necessary modifications have been made to accommodate the Agency’s programs and services.

“This is great step forward for our HHSA program clients, and a proactive approach to preparing the County for its future space needs,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Brad Wagenknecht.

            The purchase of the Mylan campus became a possibility as the County was considering plans to remodel the Old Sonoma Road campus. The multiyear plan to build new facilities at that site would have been phased, with the first phase alone expected to cost more than $30 million.
