The forum will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the accessible Board Chambers located on the third floor of the County Administration building at 1195 Third Street. The convening of the forum aligns with the provisions of the TRUTH Act [California Government Code Section 7283.1(d)], which was signed into law by Governor Brown in 2016. The TRUTH Act requires that the local governing body of any county or city where local law enforcement has provided ICE access to an individual during the previous year, must hold a community forum to inform the public about ICE’s access to individuals and to allow for public comment.
The public is invited to attend the community forum. For those unable to attend in person, the forum will be available via various platforms: watch or listen on Napa Valley TV Channel 28, the county website, YouTube, or Zoom (Meeting ID: 842-343-169). Alternatively, listen by calling Zoom at 1-669-900-6833 (Meeting ID: 842-343-169). Detailed instructions on accessing the forum can be found on the county website.
