Napa First Responders To Participate In Large Scale Training Event Saturday

On Saturday, January 28th, 2023, several Napa City and County Law Enforcement, Fire and supporting agencies will be participating in a large-scale training event. The training will take place at 2449 Old Sonoma Road (formerly Harvest Middle School) from 8 am to 5 pm.

First responders will be utilizing emergency vehicles, sirens, simulated weapons, drones, loudspeakers, and other devices during the exercise.

There will be a large contingency of first responders, staff and role players present at this event. The purpose of the exercise is to prepare first responders, medical staff and supporting agencies for a large-scale critical incident where communication and partnership between agencies is imperative. By having hospital personnel, police and fire dispatchers, law enforcement and fire department personnel partner for this highly realistic training scenario, all agencies hope to be better prepared for real-life critical incidents that may occur within the City and County of Napa.

No roads will be closed for this training exercise. We ask that all citizens please respect the training and stay out of the area and find alternate routes of travel if possible.

Agencies participating include the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Napa County Sheriff, Napa Police, Napa Fire, Napa County Fire, American Canyon Fire, American Medical Response (AMR), Napa Valley Unified School District, Napa Community Emergency Response Team, Napa Office of Emergency Services, Napa Emergency Medical Services, Napa Dispatch, Napa Chaplaincy and Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
