UPDATE: Napa PD Investigates Alleged Child Abduction

The Napa Police Department is on the lookout for a Napa man who took his daughter from her Napa home Friday evening

The Napa Police Department is investigating the alleged abduction of a child by her parent that took place on Friday evening.

Police said that Jaimie Valencia, who also uses the name Jose Munoz, 32, of Napa, took his 3-year-old daughter from her home on the 700 block of Central Avenue. Valencia allegedly threatened to hide the child in Mexico to prevent the mother from seeing the daughter again.

Valencia was last seen driving a blue 1992 Honda Civic, with a California license plate of 2ZIH648. Police said they believe Valencia is still in the Napa area, but he is refusing to return the child to the mother. The girl is not believed to be in immediate danger, according to police. Anyone who sees Valencia’s car is asked to contact police at (707) 257-9223
