Pedestrian Struck By Police Car: CHP
The 22-year-old pedestrian, who is hospitalized in critical condition, was in a crosswalk when hit.

CALISTOGA, CA— The California Highway Patrol’s Napa Area Office is investigating a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash involving a Calistoga Police Department patrol vehicle in the city of Calistoga.
The collision happened around 7 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Berry and Washington streets in Calistoga.
The pedestrian, 22-year-old Brenda Sarabio of Calistoga, was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. She remained in critical condition Wednesday, according to CHP Officer Marc Renspurger.

The CHP said it appeared the crash occurred as CPD Sgt. Kristine Norton made a left turn from Washington onto Berry and struck Sarabio, who was walking in the marked crosswalk.
According to the CHP, the specifics of the incident and the circumstances surrounding the crash were still under investigation Wednesday.
