The suspect is breaking the glass doors of businesses to gain entry, police said.
NAPA, CA — The Napa Police Department is investigating a rash of burglaries at several local businesses and asked community members to keep a lookout for anyone who looks suspicious.
The suspect is breaking the glass doors of businesses to gain entry, Napa PD said Tuesday in a Facebook post. The post did not include details about which businesses were struck but said the suspect is typically out and about between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
"The break-ins have occurred in all parts of the city and are not specific to a certain area," Napa police Lt. Chris Pacheco said in an email to Patch. "They occur during the late night and early morning hours with the suspect usually breaking a window and going after cash register money."

Police posted a surveillance image of a suspect inside a business. The person, whose face is not visible, is wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants and light-colored shoes.

"We understand this photo is not helpful in identifying the suspect but we ask that you keep a look out for anyone that looks suspicious around our businesses," Napa police said. "We are working diligently to identify and locate this suspect and would appreciate the extra sets of eyes out there."

Businesses are asked to review their camera footage and immediately notify Napa PD if they see anything out of the ordinary.
"As our post indicates, we are asking for any help from the public in regards to suspicious circumstances or persons during these late and early morning hours," Pacheco said. "Timely calls will greatly assist us in responding to these incidents and apprehending the perpetrator."
