POLICE LOG: Battery, Under the Influence, Vandalism

Napa Police arrest suspects.


A 38-year-old Napa woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of battery on a police officer and vandalism.

Veronica "Mable" Pettengill was taken into custody in the vicinity of Terrace Drive and Imola Avenue after the 8:58 a.m. incident.

According to the report, Napa Police were dispatched to a female blocking traffic in the roadway of S. Terrace Dr. near Imola Ave. 

An officer contacted Mable Pettengill in the street of S. Terrace. 

Pettengill was interfering with traffic and not listening to the officer’s directions to clear the roadway. 

Pettengill was determined to be a danger to herself and others.  While the officer was taking her into custody, Pettengill threw the contents of an open soda bottle on the officer.  

As Pettengill was being placed in the patrol vehicle, Pettengill kicked the patrol car causing a significant dent.  Penttengill was transported and booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.

A 34-year-old Napa man was arrested Monday on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and probation violation.

William Charles Croley was taken into custody in the 1800 block of Wise Drive after the 1:54 p.m. incident.

Napa Police were dispatched to an address in the 1800 block of Wise Dr. regarding Croley being out of control and damaging property at his parents residence.

Officers contacted Croley at the residence. Croley was determined to have damaged a door by punching it and under the influence of controlled substance. 

He was arrested and transported to Napa County Department of Corrections.

A 39-year-old Napa man was arrested Monday on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and probation violation.

Kristopher Scott Booth was taken into custody in the vicinity of Jordon Lane and Lincoln Avenue after the 11:23 p.m. incident.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at Jordon Ln. and Lincoln Ave. 

Officers contacted Kristopher Booth on Jordon Ln., yelling incoherently.  Booth was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance in violation of his probation.

He was arrested and transported to Napa County Department of corrections.
