Road Rage, Alcohol Blamed in Early Morning Head-On Collision in Napa

Two men say they were chased, shot at and intentionally crashed into by another driver early Friday morning in Napa.

NAPA CA, -- A man who police say was visibly intoxicated was arrested early Friday morning after being involved in what police say was a head-on collision resulting from a case of suspected road rage.

At about 2:43 am on Friday, March 3, Napa Police officers were dispatched to the area of Marin Street and F Street for the report of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles that had been involved in a head on collision, but all who had been in the vehicles had fled prior to police arrival.

Two victims were found in the area shortly after the officer’s arrival, both having been occupants in one of the involved vehicles. The two stated they'd been chased by the driver of the other vehicle on scene, shot at and intentionally crashed into. The victims reported there were gang-related challenges and statements made during the incident, but police say the two victims are not known to be gang affiliated.
