State Highway 121 Remains Closed Indefinitely

State Highway 121 remains closed indefinitely between Wooden Valley Rd and State Highway 128 after recent storms broke open the roadway.

NAPA COUNTY - State Highway 121 remains closed indefinitely just north of Wooden Valley Rd, between Wooden Valley and State Highway 128.

You can see in this image from CalTrans the the road has cracked and portions of the asphalt appear to have slipped several feet from storm damage.

The Napa Valley Register reports the dirt shoulder of a 10-foot section just past milepost 20 began sinking as the waters from Capell Creek eroded the roadway, according to a CHP incident log.

The Napa County road conditions website indicates residents and emergency vehicles are being allowed access. Residents should be prepared to show proof of residency.

According to CalTrans, a detour is available in the area.

Traffic.511.org says motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area. There is no estimated time for reopening the roadway.
