NAPA, CA — U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen traveled to the San Francisco Bay Area Wednesday for a discussion with leaders in emerging technologies and evolving threats to see how partnerships between public and private organizations can help keep the U.S. safe, DHS officials said.

Tuesday Nielsen visited Napa to meet with technology companies and foreign partners to combat terrorists' use of the web.

The secretary announced that her agency is changing its approach to preventing terrorism by asking all of society to help rather than calling on all of government.
