Trainees to be paid while attending police academy at Napa Valley College.
The Napa Police Department is recruiting bilingual-preferred applicants to fill the position of police officer in Napa's culturally diverse community.
Napa Police Capt. Jeff Troendly said the department is offering to pay for two police officer trainees to attend police academy this summer at Napa Valley College. Local candidates with roots in Napa Valley are especially encouraged to apply.
If the candidates complete the academy training successfully, they would be hired to fill two of seven vacant police officer positions on the Napa Police force.
