Weeknight Lane Closures Begin On Highway 29 In Napa

The lane closures are in place for two weeks. Additionally, motorists must detour at the southbound Highway 221/29 junction.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Starting Wednesday night and continuing every weeknight through Dec. 15, Caltrans has scheduled lane closures on both southbound and northbound state Highway 29 between North Kelly Road and the Napa River Bridge in Napa.

The nightly closures are from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to ensure the safety of workers and drivers. Detours are set in place. Caltrans will always keep one lane open to traffic in each direction.

Additionally, the southbound state Highway 221/29 junction is closed during the scheduled times for paving operations required for the Soscol Junction Project in Napa.

Motorists traveling southbound on Highway 221 to southbound Highway 29 are required to follow the detour:

  • Right on Napa Valley Corporate Way
  • Left on Napa Valley Corporate Dr
  • Continue to SB SR-29
