Alert: Road Work on Coast Highway and Marguerite

Traffic in the area will be affected starting today and will continue through April.

Beginning today a road crew will be working on a construction project that will affect traffic on Coast Highway and Marguerite Avenue in Newport Beach, city officials reported.

Crews working to improve the traffic signal at the intersection of Coast Highway and Marguerite Avenue will replace equipment to make enhancements to the operation of the intersection, including modifying the traffic signal to allow protected left-turns green arrows for Marguerite.

According to city officials, the large median will also be modified to create a smoother turning path for motorists turning onto Coast Highway from the south leg of Marguerite Avenue.
