COSTA MESA, CA — An Orange County university just received a huge financial boost, after Vanguard University in Costa Mesa was awarded a $900,000 grant from In-N-Out Burger Foundation, The Orange County Register reported.
The funds will go toward creating Headwind Scholars, which is a scholarship program for former foster youth providing financial aid, academic resources and support services, according to the report.
"With this additional funding, and the support of others who are motivated to come alongside INOFB’s generosity, we are confident in the long-term impact we can make to partner, encourage, mentor, and guide these students throughout their academic careers," Vanguard University President Michael J. Beals said.
