NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Parents have until April 8 to submit their applications for Newport-Mesa Unified School District's Elementary Summer Program.

The program will provide students enrolled in TK through fifth grade with "high-quality academic and enrichment programs" during the summer, the Newport-Mesa officials said. The summer program will be held from July 6 to August 2 and will include options for half-day or full-day instruction.

Parents who do not submit the application by the deadline but are still interested in the program will have their child placed on a waiting list or be admitted based on available space, the district said.
