Hit-And-Run Collision In Costa Mesa Sends One To The Hospital
The collision was reported Friday morning on the southbound 405 Freeway near Bristol Street.
COSTA MESA, CA — A three-car hit-and-run collision on the southbound 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa sent one person to the hospital Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The person sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision, according to CHP Public Information Officer Anselmo Templado. First-responders took the person to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment.
The collision was reported around 9:30 a.m. and involved at least three vehicles, Templado said. One of the vehicles fled the scene, and another collided with a light pole on the freeway, he said.

"We don't know the details yet [of how the cars collided,]" Templado said. "But, we know three vehicles were involved, and one of the parties ended up taking off."
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
