Man Who Shot Woman To Death On Costa Mesa Sidewalk Arrested, Police Say
A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday for the fatal shooting of a Huntington Beach woman in Costa Mesa, authorities said.
COSTA MESA, CA — A 19-year-old man was arrested for the fatal shooting of a woman on a Costa Mesa sidewalk Saturday, authorities said.
Huntington Beach resident Oscar Saldivar was arrested Saturday for the murder of 20-year-old Monserrat Colorado, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
The shooting was first reported at around 11:10 p.m. on Monday, June 2, when officers received calls of shots fired and a person shot in the 1500 block of Lukup Lane.

Arriving officers found a 20-year-old woman on the sidewalk suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said. She was given medical aid but was later pronounced dead.
Authorities said that while the victim and suspect knew one another, the nature of their relationship was still under investigation.

The case will be submitted to the Orange County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration, police said.
