NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A new set of sculptures will be coming to Civic Center Park this summer after being approved this week by the Newport Beach City Council, according to a report from The Daily Pilot.

The sculptures are part of an exhibition at Civic Center Park that began during its development in 2013, the paper reported. The sculpture exhibition is in its seventh phase.

Artists loan their sculptures to the city for two years and are responsible for the art's repair and maintenance during that time, The Daily Pilot reported. They are also paid a small honorarium in return.
