Newport Beach Extends City Manager's Contract: Report

Grace Leung will stay on as Newport Beach's city manager for at least five more years, according to The Daily Pilot.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Grace Leung will stay on as Newport Beach's city manager for five more years after officials voted to extend her contract Tuesday, The Daily Pilot reported.

The City Council also approved a pay bump for Leung, increasing her base salary from $281,220 to $301,187, the Pilot reported. Newport Beach Mayor Kevin Muldoon was the sole dissenting vote.

Leung's five-year contract also includes a 5 percent merit adjustment for the first year, cost-of-living adjustments and a 2.5 percent pay increase dependent on her performance.
