NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A startup company launched by a Newport Coast teenager has teamed up with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy to help detect wildfires, the Daily Pilot reported.

Ryan Honary, 14, launched his company SensoRy AI in May, and it's focused on predicting and preventing potential hazards to natural resources like wildfires in parklands using a combination of sensors and artificial intelligence, the Pilot reported.

The Irvine Ranch Conservancy is the company's first client, and the project will involve setting up a series of sensors in the hopes of catching an environmental disaster before it happens, the paper reported.
