Police to Serve Food for Good Cause Wednesday

Newport Beach police will be serving food Wednesday at the Yard House in Fashion Island to raise money for the Special Olympics of Southern California.

If you are planning on having dinner at a restaurant Wednesday, you might consider Yard House at Fashion Island where Newport Beach police will be serving as waiters for a good cause.

Newport Beach police officers will be hosting and serving food at the Yard House on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., during the annual Tip-A-Cop Event to help raise money for the Special Olympics Southern California.

Money raised at the event will go to support Special Olympic activities in Orange County.  As the host of the event, and in support of Special Olympics, the Yard House will provide a $10 gift card for each donation of $10 or more.

During last year’s Tip-A-Cop event, approximately $10,000 was raised in support of Special Olympics Southern California – Orange County Region.
