Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Tim has coached our 11 year old twins Cole and Rose’s AYSO Region 57 (CDM) soccer teams concurrently this year, no small feat. His love for work football began when he was born in England to a world football (soccer) loving family and continued to the US where his dad coached his teams when Tim was growing up in Huntington Beach.

He committed to six hours of practice each week and took his teams to indoor trainings as well. Coaching the girls team with help from Rick Takata, The Emeralds came in 1st for Region 57 which they then represented at the Area Q Championships at the Jack Hammet Sports Park and placed 3rd out of eight teams representing their regions across Orange County. They finished their season with a record of 9-2-1.

Coaching the boys team with help from Cameron Lavey, White Lightening also came in 1st in their Region 57 and then went on to win the Area Q Championship as well.

White Lightening finished their season with a record of 13-0 and now go on to represent their Region 57 and Area Q at the Section 11 Championships in Lake Forest this February.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

Tim’s love and passion for the game of world football (soccer) as well as dedication to teach and work with the kids has been a joy to experience and appreciate from the sidelines. His effort to instill team players and not encourage an individual superstar has has transpired with both these teams this year

Thank you for all you do, Tim Creed!
