Smash-And-Grab Robbers Steal From Fashion Island Jewelry Store
The robbers used hammers to break into glass cases at the jewelry store, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach police are investigating a smash-and-grab robbery at a Fashion Island jewelry store late Monday afternoon.
At least four people were involved with the robbery, and no arrests have been made, according to Heather Rangel of the Newport Beach Police Department. The monetary loss of the stolen jewelry is unknown.
The robbery occurred around 3 p.m. when four people wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks entered the jewelry store and used hammers to break into display cases. The four then fled from the store with multiple pieces of jewelry, Rangel said.

KABC reports the store targeted in the robbery was JB Diamonds & Fine Jewelry.
