Couple Hunt Down and Kill Daughter's Alleged Pimp, Police Say

A San Francisco couple allegedly tracked their teenage daughter's pimp around the state, failing at one attempt to kill him in a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood before shooting him to death in San Francisco, authorities said Wednesday according to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Barry Gilton and his longtime girlfriend, Lupe Mercado, have been charged with killing Calvin Sneed, 22, on the night of June 4 in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, according to the report.

On the night of May 27, authorities believe the couple failed in an attempt to kill Sneed during a drive-by shooting in North Hollywood when several 9mm rounds were shot into Sneed's car, missing him, according to the Chronicle.
