Crews Contain Fire Inside North Hollywood Building
It took 40 firefighters to extinguish a blaze Sunday inside a vacant commercial unit in North Hollywood, authorities said.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters knocked down a fire Sunday inside a vacant commercial unit in North Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze inside a unit in a one-story row of commercial units at 12126 Vanowen St. was reported at 1:36 p.m., fire department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
The department dispatched 40 firefighters to the scene and they extinguished the flames in about 16 minutes, Prange said.

The fire apparently started outside and then spread to the inside of the unit.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
