How Can North Hollywood Parks Be Improved?

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Do you know how public parks and recreation areas could be improved in North Hollywood and the rest of the valley? If so, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation wants your help.

The department is asking residents of the San Fernando Valley to provide input on the various needs of parks, trails, natural areas and open spaces. An online workshop will take place August 28th at 9:30 a.m. focusing on how recreation areas in the valley could be improved.

"Parks are a matter of public health, social equity and serve a vital role in supporting resilient communities throughout Los Angeles County," said Norma Garcia-Gonzalez, director of LA County Parks and Recreation. "We encourage all Los Angeles County residents to participate and get involved. Their input will help inform future planning and funding allocation for regional parks, open space, and trails."

A total of 11 online workshops are set to take place in August and early September, divided amongst various regions in the county. Find the full schedule below.
