LAPD Warns About Increase in Bike Thefts Near Schools in North Hollywood Division

The Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Division posted the following message on its Facebook page recently:

We have had an increase in bike thefts and bike robberies at and near the local schools within North Hollywood Division. Please remember to lock your bike up while at school. Keep a record of the serial number of your bike and put your name and phone number on it in a secure location. When riding your bike after school, remember to stay with your friends and ride in a well-populated area.
