New City Council District Lines Start Today

Check here to find out what the new boundaries are and who represents you at Los Angeles City Hall.

Today is the day that new Los Angeles City Council district lines go into effect. Here in the East Valley, this means a big shuffle of territory among Councilmembers Paul Krekorian, Tony Cardenas, Tom LaBonge and Paul Koretz. Check out the attached maps of the new boundaries.

Here's how the shuffle impacts the East Valley Patch areas:

  • Krekorian now represents most of North Hollywood and all of Studio City, Valley Glen and Valley Village.
  • Tony Cardenas will represent North Hollywood's northeast corner.
  • LaBonge retains Toluca Lake and the other Tolucan neighborhoods, but will now represent a significant portion of the Hollywood Hills as well as Sherman Oaks.
  • Koretz will no longer represent Sherman Oaks or part of Valley Village.
  • In a unique move, Krekorian and LaBonge will share the Campo de Cahuenga.
