North Hollywood Chabad Sued Again Over New Sherman Oaks Synagogue

The lawsuit challenges a Los Angeles City Council decision to allow the project to move forward as-is.

Chabad of North Hollywood is facing another lawuit filed by concerned Sherman Oaks residents over a new synagogue that's under construction in their neighborhood, according to the Daily News.

The residents say they want the 12,000-square-foot structure being built at 13079 Chandler Blvd. to be downsized, the Daily News reports.

The legal action challenges the outcome of a 2009 lawsuit that resulted in the Los Angeles City Council voting in June to re-approve the development to move forward as-is.
