Pacoima Man Found Dead Inside Car; LAPD Seeking Information
Daniel Alaya was found in the backseat of his car on December 27, having been shot multiple times.
PACOIMA, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for the murder of 26-year-old Daniel Alaya. The Pacoima resident's body was found on December 27 around 7:11 p.m. in the backseat of a silver Infiniti M35, parked on Pendleton Street and Norris Avenue.
The car was locked when authorities arrived, and Alaya appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The Ls Angeles Fire Department arrived and broke the window, before pronouncing him dead at the scene.
According to detectives, a woman had been walking in the area when she smelled an odor coming from the car. After seeing Alaya's body in the backseat, she called the Fire Department on Sunday night.

It's unclear how long the body had been in the car before being discovered. The car was impounded and will be analyzed for prints and DNA, according to LAPD.
