Police Nab Assault Suspect With Pit Maneuver On 101 Freeway
An assault suspect led police on a chase across multiple freeways and side streets from Van Nuys to the Universal City area.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police Thursday arrested an assault suspect who led them on a chase from Van Nuys to the Universal City area, where officers used a pit maneuver to stop the car on a freeway off-ramp.
The pursuit began about 9:20 a.m. near Sepulveda and Burbank boulevards, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Officers chased the car on city streets and on the Hollywood (170) Freeway before forcing it to stop about 9:55 a.m. on the Lankershim Boulevard offramp from the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol and reports from the scene.

The name of the male suspect was not immediately released.
