Southern California Health Institute Celebrating 1 Year in NoHo

On Memorial Day Weekend of last year, IPPT Career School changed its name to Southern California Health Institute and moved to 5200 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood.

On Saturday, June 16th Southern California Health Institute will celebrate its one year anniversary by holding its first graduation ceremony at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center in Studio City. The commencement will honor 64 students who recently completed 9 months of training in either the Advanced Professional Massage Therapy or Physical Therapy Aide/Sports Rehab Programs.

On Memorial Day Weekend of last year, IPPT Career School changed its name to Southern California Health Institute and moved to the beautiful and elegant Television Academy of Arts & Sciences Center located at 5200 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood.

Since the move, SOCHi has enrolled over 400 students and currently has a student body of over 250 students who are enrolled in either the Advanced Professional Massage Therapy or Physical Therapy Aide/Sports Rehab Programs.

SOCHi was originally founded in 1996 under the name of Institute of Progressive Physical Therapy. In 2008, the school changed management and was renamed IPPT Career School. In 2010, IPPT Career School became accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. In 2011, IPPT Career School was approved by the U.S. Department of Education to participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Programs including, Pell and other Federal Grants, student loans and Federal Work Study programs. Federal student aid programs are authorized under

Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965.  

After receiving accreditation by ACICS and approval to participate in Federal Student Financial Aid Programs, IPPT Career School changed its name to Southern California Health Institute and move into a new upscale facility.

One year later, Southern California Health Institute is proud to celebrate its one year anniversary with a graduation ceremony for the first group of SOCHi graduates.
