Summer Night Lights Glowing at Valley Plaza Park
The program is presented by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Office of Gang Reduction and Youth Development.
The Summer Night Lights program began last Saturday at 32 parks around the city of Los Angeles providing free programs, services, and fun and activities for the whole family.
The program is presented by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Office of Gang Reduction and Youth Development and is held at 32 different Los Angeles City locations, including Valley Plaza Park in North Hollywood.
The program was implemented in 2010 at Valley Plaza Park and was by both City Councilman Paul Krekorian and Villaraigosa with reducing violence at the park. In 2011, the program expanded from 24 to 32 parks, including Sun Valley Park. See the attached video that was shot in 2011 at Valley Plaza park.

Summer Night Lights schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through Sept. 1, 7 p.m. to Midnight.
